Lino Capra Vaccina

"Exclusive sleeve notes by Paul Roland, John Greaves, Michael Tanner and Max Marchini. Produced by Max Marchini. A decisive step forward, a new milestone in the extraordinary discography of Lino Capra Vaccina. An album of iridescent introspectivity; a mandala of unheard sounds, a new way for contemporary minimalism. My collaboration with Lino has led me to discover recesses, reflections and refractions of music that I didn't know or, worse, neglected. Thanks to our professional and artistic collaboration a sincere personal friendship was born, extended to my family. My family: Lino has always given me a discreet advice, a subdued and authoritative point of reflection in many difficult moments. Many difficult moments. When we go into the studio for a new album, I wonder where it can go considering the quality and research of the previous work. And research of previous work. Each time, including this one, the surprise of the unexpected path taken opens up new horizons. Lino adds the piano to the percussion and vibraphone and immediately bends the essences, mechanics and woods to his own unique semantics. His own unique semantics. Lino Capra Vaccina's piano is "his" and profoundly different. A classical instrument that A classical instrument that becomes a new probe to explore the infinite interstices that envelop sound and silence." - Max Marchini
