Nice meandering piano music played by John Cage himself. Registered at Center for Contemporary Music of Mills College in Oakland, California, Cheap Imitation is a piece for solo piano by John Cage, composed in 1969. It is an indeterminate piece created using the I Ching and based, rhythmically, on Socrate by Erik Satie; it consists almost exclusively of a single melodic line, with occasional doublings, as an “imitation” of the original score

Issued as a replica of the original 1977 Cramps Records release, comes in a gatefold sleeve with a printed inner inner sleeve containing a purple 180g. vinyl. Limited edition of 500 copies.
