In process of stocking* Emitter Micro in company with Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König released in two crafted vinyl albums the Motion Picture Soundtracks of Hell’s Bells and Dead & Juicy, recent John Bock’s movies with an original score by Kris Limbach. As a limited edition of “golden” and “silver” vinyl, Hell’s Bells and Dead & Juicy are both experimental scores of Limbach and Bock, who touch many genres and are not afraid of fusing field recordings, metal guitars, drones, “songs” and abstract electronic music into a dazzling and hypnotizing record.

John Bock is a performance artist and filmmaker who moreover sculpts, draws and writes. Bock has participated in numerous international exhibitions, counting the Venice Biennale and the Dokumenta 11 in Kassel. He has also had solo exhibitions in many institutions including the MoMA and the New Museum in New York, Secession, Wien, Berlinische Galerie and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. Hell’s Bells and Dead & Juicy were both premiered in 2017.

Kris Limbach is the name behind the score of these movies. He is known for his audiovisual performances and releases as a solo artist, as well as for his activities in various outfits and collaborations. He performed in the past at Casa Encendida, Sound//Vision Festival Rotterdam, KW – Institute for Contemporary Art Berlin, Light Art Festival Tunis and LUNA Festival Friesland amongst others. For already more than a decade, Limbach composes sound and music for Bocks´ movies, complementing his cinematic vision with scores of uncanny otherworldliness mixed with a fragile “dilettantism” and naivety fueled by his noise- and experimental music background.
