"Deaf City Journal is the de facto Tribe Tapes Of America publication dedicated to international noise and industrial-adjacent artists at leisure – the focus is not strictly music but espousing the other interests and passions of those involved with such a niche movement. My desire for this is to be a showcase of artists I admire and make somewhat of a permanent archive of their work – interviews, essays, artwork, stories, photography, rants or what-have-you…
You are a participant in the international culture if you value the abstract, the strange and curious, the transgressions of everyday life. All is welcome and nothing is off limits. I plan for future editions of Deaf City Journal to include a music review section as well. The plan for Deaf City Journal is to keep this as a strictly physical compendium, with no digital PDFs being made available. I am quite proud of the 8.5” x 11” form factor of this magazine and the unwieldy presence it may occupy on your coffee table. I hope that it enthuses your guests or at the very least stimulates their curiosity for a brief moment." - Max Julian Eastman
