*66 copies limited edition* 'Portraying the sensation of being possessed by a demon, Zepar to be exact, Deforms the Unborn was a live-performance by Xiu Xiu at the Guggenheim museum. After researching multiple first hand accounts of demonic possession, the material that came out of all of that is basically an auditory version of a Lovecraft story. You are never quite sure what is real and what isn't, there is this constant abrasive feeling of paranoia and dread lingering in the background, strange unexplainable entities (sounds) enter the picture from time to time that you can't really wrap your head around and a demonic voice is constantly whispering disturbing things into your head. It's a very tense hour with barely any space to breathe or room to move, with the constant dissonance just raining on your head like the demon lingering above you. It's one of the more interesting and ambitious Death Industrial endeavors for Jamie Stewart. It's definitely not something that a lot of casual fans would want to listen to, but if you do have some interest in the bands more out there, experimental material, this is a fascinating listen.' - RYM
