Surely this can only be the work of the ultra mysterious Sam Meringue (Matrix Metals, Flashback Repository, Explorers) etc. I believe at one point this guy was actually suspected to be James Ferraro which isn't difficult to believe as their work has very similar qualities. Anyway this is apparently an "esoteric glam-damaged concept record about Berlin nightclubs and foxy ladies" and listening to the tracks it makes sense. At times sounding like Ariel Pink being sucked into some phazer vortex or being dubbed onto cassette a zillion times for total audio quality degradation. At other times it sounds like glossy 80's rock like Starship, subjected to severe brain damage and then passed through the ahem... hypnogogic lense. It's difficult to tell if all the music is original or samples have been used and then given some filth treatment. The record seems to have a fondness and nostalgia for the glamour and excess of the 80's dream of fast cars and even faster women. All decent fun here on marbled pink vinyl.
