Sans Armure, Rendre les Larmes, Poser les Mains et Étendre Cure is a solo double LP by Guilhem Lacroux, guitarist of Tanz Mein Herz, made with a Gretsch Duo Jet and a Korg Volca. He composed, played, recorded and mixed it himself. Each of the four sides has its own name, and together the names form the title.
The fifteen pieces run from three and a half minutes to twelve, most of them centred on the electric guitar, its echo and its sustain. Side A stays close to the instrument, from the plucked figures of Chanson de la Tristesse and the slow bends of Attrape Tison to Lacrimae, which spends more than a minute and a half almost inaudible before the guitar breaks in. Circumambulations, on side B, starts near silence and thickens through nine minutes of fast repeated strumming. Further on the sound moves away from plain guitar: Paumes de Ciel and Les Présentes, les Présents ring like bells. Délier les Langueurs is the longest piece at twelve minutes, and Saint-Andrée des Bisous closes on organ-like chords that thin out and fade.
Double LP on black vinyl, 300 copies, in offset printed covers. A co-production of Standard In-Fi and La Nòvia. Mastered by Etienne Foyer, cut by Frédéric Alstadt at Mont Analogue, photography by Lionel Catelan, graphic design by Alban-Paul Valmary.
