Tanz Mein Herz

Pace is the new double LP by Tanz Mein Herz, nine pieces recorded by Manu Laffeach at Studio Chaudelande in Cherbourg in August 2025. The first side holds a single track, Depuis Longtemps, which rises in steps for seven minutes over a held A. A regular pulse then enters and stays put for ten minutes more, before the band drops away to a quiet coda.

The line-up is Guilhem Lacroux on guitar, electronics and keyboard, Pierre Bujeau on guitar, Pierre-Vincent Fortunier on bagpipes, Jonathan Grandcollot on drums and electronics and Jérémie Sauvage on bass. The bagpipes come forward on Redux, twelve minutes at one steady level, a title the group also used for its 2024 LP. The title track goes the other way: eight minutes of long tones with almost no attack, sinking in register as they get louder. Souvenirs De and Hochshloss turn to repeating guitar figures, while Klein Shloss and Alps Dagare are dense, sustained walls of drone that barely move. Strette ends the record with three minutes of guitar.

Double LP on black vinyl, 600 copies, in covers offset printed inside and out. Edited and mixed by Guilhem Lacroux with the group, mastered and cut by Frédéric Alstadt at Mont Analogue. Artwork and etching by Valentin Capony, graphic design by Lionel Catelan. A Standard In-Fi production with the support of Mont Analogue.
