A document of the Viennese art school rather than the record industry. Fünfzehn Tonspuren, "fifteen tracks," was issued in 1984 under the imprint of the Hochschule für Angewandte Kunst in Vienna and recorded that spring in the city's Floridsdorf district. Its fifteen short pieces are exactly what an early-1980s art academy might produce: post-punk fragments, synthesizer and tape experiments, drum-machine sketches, musique concrète, a track built from a television set and a radio.

It is uneven by nature and fascinating for the same reason, a snapshot of student avant-gardism at a precise moment. Genuinely scarce. The Hochschule pressing.
