Eddie Ladoire, composer and plastic artist, meets Pierre Bastien, an emblematic figure of the french experimental music scene to compose the soundtrack of an original choregraphy made of edited old movies of dancers from all times and spaces.

The composer and visual artist Pierre Bastien celebrated for more of 40 years of musical and poetic inventions teamed up in 2013 with Eddie Ladoire, a musician and artist working on sound installations and soundscapes to create a show around Dance : “Phantoms”.

Pierre Bastien’s distinctive sound made of motors, meccano sculptures, home-made cylinder synth, hijacked turntable and unlikely trumpet meets the keyboards and electronics of Eddie Ladoire playing alternately hectic improvisations, dark drones and light melodies. They offer us the perfect soundtrack of a Phantoms choregraphy featuring limping dancers, looped skeletons, flying Russians, ancestral rituals...
