*150 copies limited release.* Antoine Bellanger (music) and Sammy Stein (drawing) have joined forces to create Depuis les cimes, a musical and graphic work housed in a large double cassette box. Inside, you’ll find new songs by Antoine Bellanger—12 tracks where birdsongs, modest arpeggiators, and haunting poetic flashes intertwine. Sammy Stein has designed and drawn a 32-page booklet/zine, a small book that holds the lyrics and accompanies them with organic illustrations, printed in two delicately nuanced risograph colors. 

Antoine Bellanger has carved his own path—an unmarked, singular artistic and life journey, whose destination he alone knows. Since settling in the Basque Country, further and further from the city lights, this all-terrain artist with strong ecological convictions has been exploring his land, constantly questioning the world of field recording, live and open-air sound capture. His soundtrack sketches the contours of a sonic landscape where stripped-down lyrics naturally find their place.

For this new album, Antoine Bellanger recorded and sampled his own voice, creating his own synthesizer timbre. He also captured the birdsongs surrounding him and danced with the arpeggiators of his grandfather’s organ. Sammy Stein publishes books, zines, and pamphlets that blend explorations of places, times, and spaces into narrative experiments—guided tours of collections, biographies of fictional artists, stories unfolding across multiple eras. The illustrations he created for this 32-page booklet/zine, printed in two-color risograph, take shape around Antoine’s lyrics. The words sway across the pages, intertwining with branches and rocks, merging into mineral landscapes to build minimalist and poetic graphic totems.
