Marcos Valle, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1943, has traversed an extraordinary musical journey—from his classic bossa nova roots to inventive fusions with soul, funk, rock, and jazz. His self-titled album, originally released in the 1980s, marked a pivotal return to Brazil after years of creative partnership in the United States with luminaries like Leon Ware and Chicago.
