2025 stock ** "Milton Nascimento (1969) is the third eponymous album by Milton Nascimento after the excellent Travessia (1967) and the very average Courage (1968) and before the exceptional Clube Da Esquina (1972). With this album, Milton Nascimento continues the experimental and exploratory work undertaken previously. Milton Nascimento is a record built around moving compositions, mainly Ballads, carried by the sensitive voice of its performer and by the impressive arrangements of Luiz Eça (Tamba Trio). The integration of Milton Nascimento's acoustic guitar at the heart of the orchestra where it remains free and "alive" is admirable. The adopted style mixes Pop, MPB, Samba elements, all imbued with elements of Jazz. A style that will drift towards an assertive Progressive Rock. Among the musicians who accompany Milton Nascimento are some future members of the legendary Som Imaginario."
