**Edition of 300 includes download code** Blackest Ever Black part the curtains to reveal Tarcar's compelling debut of "shut-in dub dysfunction" at the closing strokes of 2014. Sealing the label's most prolific year to date on a particularly evocative note, Mince Glace dwells in the nether regions of the echoplex, dreaming of creaky psych dub from AC Marias to Leven Signs and peddling sozzled, spectral organs for reclined minds. Vascilating between bombed-out and spiked-up vibes, it's a superb showcase for Carla dal Forno and Tarquin Manek's wayward tastes, proving equally effective in the amorphous mystery of shorter bits like the miasmic 3D dub-scape of "Game Is Up" and the No Wave clank of "Emboldened" sandwiching the deep magick ov "Visions Of The Night" with its chokingly dank cypher-dub atmospheres and haunting, childlike delivery, or the Leyland Kirby-like crumbling music-hall vibes of closer "Fireball". Imagine you're sitting at a séance between Bellows, David Lynch and Brenda Ray, and Lynch keeps placing his hand on your leg. It's strange but you kinda like it…
