LP version. Never Give All The Heart is the debut album of Elk Tooth, the solo project of Todd Paulson, main songwriter of the atmospheric black metal band Canis Dirus. He set it up as an outlet for a more acoustic sound.
The main focus is neofolk. Paulson builds the songs from gently strummed guitars, percussion, synthesizers and restrained vocals, and the album deals with loss, distrust and hopelessness before ending on something closer to celebration. The seven tracks run from Despite Our Sorrow to Letting Go, with Den Svavande Svanen and The Whole World Is Sad among them.
Limited edition of 100 copies on grey vinyl, with a 12-inch inlay and a hand-numbered sticker. Steinklang Industries, 2022.
