LP version. Loose Enchantment is the album Coffin Prick, the alias of the Los Angeles multi-instrumentalist Ryan Weinstein, made after Laughing (2023). Its eleven tracks deal with self-delusion, the mysteries of creation, cleanliness and the secrets in other people's lives.
Weinstein wrote, recorded and performed it in 2023 at his home studio, Pancho's Dome, having learned a good deal about recording since the last album. He mostly works alone, but brings in guests here. They are Steven Brown of Tuxedomoon, John Herndon of Tortoise, Alejandro Salazar-Dyer of Rincs, Kathy Lea of Soft Location and Aaron Fernandez Olson of LA Takedown. Mike Kriebel mixed the record at Abbey Road West in Los Angeles in October 2024, and Dave Cooley mastered it at Elysian Masters. The songs range from Work and Soap to the three-part Western Folly.
Black vinyl in a jacket with spot UV on the title, printed inner sleeve and full-colour obi card. Layout by Miles Wintner, cover elements and inner sleeve collage by Bjorn Copeland.
