LP version. Beautiful Deterioration is the first full-length album by Coalminer, a duo from Manila in the Philippines, released by Steinklang Industries in 2022.
The record refuses to settle on one strain of industrial music, moving between noise, power electronics, dark ambient and chant. It opens quietly with the short Unfolding Chaos before the screaming and scraping machinery arrive, and a voice runs through every track. The seven pieces close with the title track, the longest at over seven minutes.
Limited edition of 100 copies on black vinyl with a hand-numbered sticker.
