Ossido Di Cromo (Anamnesi Mediatica Ricostruttiva)
You can’t speak of industrial music without mentioning the cassette tape. The tape was an essential format in the formative years of the experimental, industrial underground, and has remained a significant factor within the post-industrial scenes ever since. Where right now the cassette tape is going through some kind of fetishized hipster-revival in other scenes, in industrial, experimental and noise music it never died. The tape was a revolutionary format for Paolo Bandera as well, who capture…
We Don't Drink Alone
Division S are here again - and this time they don't drink alone. As always, the Italians have an unhealthy obsession with alcohol, as is testified not only in the name of the album and many of the tracks, but also the music. There is a psychedelic, outlandish weirdness to be found in the weird atmosphere and feel of this music. What to call it? Tags one often finds attached to Division S ring hollow and untrue on a deep level, despite being superficially suitable. Yes, there are elements of neo…
Calvaire
"This album is my response to my father's death. In mourning, my emotions gave way to a musical rendering of a threshold, the transition between life and death. The emergence of animals and environmental apparitions - the death knell that rang at the village church marking my father’s passing, the howling of foxes at night, the slithering of worms and the wails of peacocks - became omens, weaving the narrative of this record." - Ombrée

Death Notes
Together, Samuel Kerridge and Maxim 'Panda' Barron conspire against the living with their electrifying new project, Death Disco. Drawing deeply from the rebellious roots of punk and the DIY ethos, the duo has crafted with their debut album ‘Death Notes’, a sense of urgency and authenticity. Samuel’s fierce vocal work and electronics gives the album an emotional depth that goes beyond its aggressive nature, while Maxim’s pulsating rhythms keeps cutting through the atmosphere with skin-stripping p…
The Schmetterling Variations
Since 1983 Dan Burke and his conspirators have dug through almost every facet of the avant sound plane, from early industrial pop deconstruction to blindingly minimal sound art to densely surreal found-sound collage, each unique approach bending and reconstituting the expectations and possibilities of each realm.   Plowing through layered field recordings, deeply rumbling tones, and eerie electroacoustic sounds with seamless transitions between cut-and-paste collages and manufactured drones, it’…

Malign Seeds
There was no premeditated methodology in place when Swedish electronics manipulator Joachim Nordwall and American guitar mangler Aaron Turner decided to collaborate on an album together. Initial experiments involved Turner submitting improvised guitar compositions to Nordwall for dissection and reassembly. While these exercises yielded interesting returns, the project truly began to bloom when Nordwall pitched several beat-oriented tracks for Turner's perusal. Beginning from a place of structure…
