Ingar Zach
Ingar Zach, born in 1971, is a Norwegian percussionist known for his research into sound production and alternative techniques in contemporary percussion. He has developed a unique approach in which the gran cassa is the main source: transducers and various objects make the bass drum vibrate, producing sustained tones and textures far from anything a stick could draw from it. He works in contemporary music and improvisation, tours worldwide and records with his fixed ensembles, Dans les arbres, Huntsville and O3, alongside solo and collaborative projects.
