Pierre Gerard

Pierre Gerard is a Belgian improviser, composer and visual artist, born in 1966. His visual work, which includes painting and sculpture, goes back to the 1990s. His recordings work with quiet, sparse material: acoustic instruments and objects, guitar, cello, electronics, field recordings and an abstract use of the voice, often improvised in specific outdoor or architectural sites. Gerard has released albums on Edition Wandelweiser, including Imprévu visible inversé and A Simple Eye (2021).
