Sunburned Hand Of The Man
Sunburned Hand of the Man is an American experimental rock collective from the Boston area, centred on John Moloney and Robert Thomas and known for its constantly changing line-up. The group took shape in the mid-1990s and plays loose, largely improvised music that moves between psychedelic rock, drone, free folk and funk. It was linked in the 2000s to the scene that The Wire called New Weird America. From 1996 to 2006 the collective was based in a loft in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and issued much of its music on its own Manhand label.
