The Gerogerigegege

Though they are often categorized with Japanese noise acts such as Merzbow and Masonna, The Gerogerigegege has also released albums of more straightforward rock (Sexual Behaviour in the Human Male), noise (45 RPM Performance), and ambient music (None Friendly, Endless Humiliation), in addition to several seven inch records mixing these styles with found recordings. The group is best known for their 1990 album Tokyo Anal Dynamite.

The Gerogerigegege (1985 Version) / Interested In Action
The Gerogerigegege is a project I've dreamed of working with since hearing Hotel Ultra early on in my path of discovering all that noise has to offer. Here they offer up a noisy guitar and drum recording from 1985 Black Leather Jesus was also a project I dreamed of working with back then as well, and we kinda know what happened there. This is a more modern recording, of course. Harsh feedback, heavy crunch, and filthy, pervy fucking samples. I love how this one turned out.
今日という日が生まれた時から決まっているように = As If It Had Always Been Determined Since This Day Was Born
Geregerigegege 1st single from 1988, then expanded and remixed to the point of overkill with all songs from multi-tapes! All songs remastered from the master tape to the point of overkill! 2 miraculous NG takes of the popular "first song on B-side" are released for the first time! All 12 tracks, including the remastering of "Aijin" used in the legendary " Flexi-disc Burning Live at Enoshima Beach" (which they said they would release, but changed their minds after pressing and decided to burn it)…

Uguisudani Apocalypse
* Art edition, C-80 cassette in a deluxe wooden box with many inserts + a numbered certificate in 300 copies * Uguisudani Apocalypse is a collection of untitled instrumental songs where each track is succinct and minimal, packing melody into a short and concise pounding of different styles with its tracks influenced by lounge music, bossa nova, funk, punk, jazz as well as the sound of the Japanese bubble era - with disco inflections. The simple spread of different styles is almost astounding, wi…

>(decrescendo)
Japanese “noise” masters The Gerogerigegege go quiet on the super limited vinyl edition of their 2019 tape for Tokyo clothing label Cav Empt, delivered via TTT.  Showcasing the flip side to their abject noise and playful cut-ups, ‘>(decrescendo)’ sees them ditch the noisy extremity for 40 minutes bathed in pastoral new age ambience and riddled with iridescent, melodic lines of thought that will probably mess with preconceptions of what they’re about (unless you’ve really delved into their catalo…
不安な演奏
Tip! **10CD collection in black wooden box with laser engraving and closure with a numbered certificate in 300 copies** Absolute backers of sound research that goes beyond the restrictions of the obvious and the frivolous are certainly The Gerogerigegege, a bizarre musical project born in 1985 in Shinjuku, one of the largest and most populated neighbourhoods in Tokyo, known for its gay community active since the 60s, led by the mysterious figure of the musician and composer Juntaro Yamanouchi. Piss Shower Girlfriend
Late 80s unreleased album with lost & found recordings by the undisputed noise legends The Gerogerigegege
All You Need Is An Audio Shock By Japanese Ultra Shit Band
Legendary Japanese harsh noise band Gerogerigegege lead by Juntaro Yamanouchi is often considered as the most extreme band from all time. Known for their kinky performances on stage, Yamanouchi described his musical project as the Japanese ultra shit band. Mixing noise, ambient and sexual sounds, the Gerogerigegege plays a unique music that we could call noise-porn-core. Some tracks can be easily set on fire the dancefloor. This new release collects the best Gerogerigegege's material fro…
The Gerogerigegege
Straight after the gorgeous album "Moenai Hai" from 2016, The GeroGeriGeGeGe are back with a new fantastic 12" vinyl record. On April 23rd 2003, The GeroGeriGeGeGe hits the road on 8 city west coast tour. They would them make history by partaking in the first ever all scratch music tour. The unique thing about this record is that most of the sounds were designed and arranged before the group actually rehearsed it. In other words, you will hear this record and be challenged with the question on h…
Moenai Hai
"Having basically dropped off the face of the earth fifteen years ago, Juntaro Yamanouchi gives Moenai Hai a sense of enigma: some contextual food for thought, and some inconclusive ideas. The sudden, low-hype release of Moenai Hai leads one to believe that The Gerogerigegege’s creative driving force is conflicted, but dedicated, presenting something that needed to be said, but not how Yamanouchi might normally say it. It’s sorta futile to outline The Gerogerigegege’s typical modes of communicat…
