1975 album on Durium with mood jazz cover renditions of popular international tunes by the celebrated saxophone player with distinctive glamour cover.
condition (record/cover): NM / EX
Gatefold sleeve.
The 20th volume marks the point where Fausto Papetti's series became a national habit, an annual purchase like a calendar, and the Durium art department leaned into the format that had been selling them: model, beach or bedroom, soft focus. What the covers hide is a Milanese studio band as good as any in Europe, playing the year's hits with the professional's contempt for excess.
Papetti's alto sits on top like a voice without words, and the arrangements make room for it with a discipline that is easy to miss. Durium ms AI series, Italian pressing.
