Japan release only. ** The Berlin electro duo Period was formed in 2016 in collaboration between Andreas Reihse (key member of the cult neo-Krautrock band Kreidler) and guitarist Thomas “Prof” Winkler. In 2019, the three-part 12″ series, sparingly titled “1-3”, was published by Indie Weltschrei Verlag. In the same year, Cosima Pitz released the cassette album “4” in a limited edition of 50 copies, which of course sold out within milliseconds. On August 25, 2023, the current work “5” will be released on CD by Suezan Studio as an exclusive, original Japanese pressing.

The album offers seven outstanding electro tracks, hypnotic urban grooves and spherical ambient pop, sometimes wistful, sometimes almost brutally poetic. Included is the track “Hair & Make-Up” with the participation of the Mexican artist Kathia Rudametkin (viola/vocals).

The CD comes in the typical Suezan “mini-LP sleeve” with four-page liner notes, original Japanese obi strip and in a limited edition of 300 copies!
