Feldman and Tobias Hume (performed by Luciana Elizondo and Guy Vandromme).

Zeynep Toraman is a composer and scholar from Istanbul, Turkey, based in Berlin. Her  work explores the intersections of text and music, drawing from autobiography, poetry, and fiction. She has collaborated with ensembles such as Contrechamps, Ensemble Proton, and Wet Ink, with performances at Darmstadt Ferienkurse, IRCAM ManiFeste, and Schloss Solitude. In 2023, she released In a Dark House, an electroacoustic album on Obscure & Terrible. She holds a PhD in Music Composition from Harvard University and has taught at the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM) in Graz.

A lifetime of annotations, two pieces for strings that meditate on the slow unraveling of orchestral memory, engaging the materiality of the nineteenth-century repertoire as it is refracted through the lens of a slow movement-fractal, melancholic, and quietly dissolving.
