Zeynep Toraman is a composer and scholar from Istanbul, Turkey, based in Berlin. Her work explores the intersections of text and music, drawing from autobiography, poetry, and fiction. She has collaborated with ensembles such as Contrechamps, Ensemble Proton, and Wet Ink, with performances at Darmstadt Ferienkurse, IRCAM ManiFeste, and Schloss Solitude. In 2023, she released In a Dark House, an electroacoustic album on Obscure & Terrible. She holds a PhD in Music Composition from Harvard University and has taught at the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics (IEM) in Graz.
