1981 Italian re-issue on Spoon/Base of the magnificent third album from 1972, simply essential and on the NWW list.

condition (record/cover): VG+ (light surface noise at the beginning of both sides) / VG+ (edges wear and light creasing)

The title is Turkish for a variety of okra, lifted from a tin in a shop window, which says plenty about the band's feel for design and for chance. Ege Bamyasi, from 1972, is Can at their leanest and most buoyant, Damo Suzuki murmuring over grooves that swing where Tago Mago had lurched. Vitamin C and I'm So Green edge toward pop; Spoon, commissioned as the theme to a German television thriller, turned into an improbable hit and paid for the studio.

The closing Soup leaves a door ajar for chaos, but the prevailing sound is that of a notoriously thorny group discovering economy. This is the reissue on Spoon Records, the band's own imprint.
