In 2009, the Triton venue (near Paris, France) was sold  out to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Univers Zéro, an iconic band of the Rock In Opposition movement. These two exceptional concerts highlighted a radical  and unique style of music, at the crossroads of new music and chamber rock, skilfully blending acoustic and electric instruments, as heard on the cult album 'Ceux du Dehors'.

Live at the Triton 2009 captures Univers Zero in a compelling concert from 2009, newly issued as a CD+DVD set. The Belgian ensemble, famed for their dark, chamber-influenced progressive rock, present a setlist that bridges weighty classic repertoire and nuanced modern works in front of a dedicated audience. This double-disc release features live renditions of some of Univers Zero’s most evocative material. The tracklist includes “Présage,” “Xenantaya,” “Civic Circus,” “Toujours Plus à l'Est,” “Warrior,” and “Dense.” Clocking in at over an hour, the performance’s atmosphere reflects both the group’s trademark austerity and their seamless interplay, driven by Daniel Denis’s percussive imagination. The CD+DVD format (officially out October 23, 2025, with full retail release in mid-November) allows for both audio and visual immersion in Univers Zero’s meticulous stagecraft, confirming the band’s long-term relevance within progressive and avant-garde rock circles.

The set provides a rare opportunity to experience late-period Univers Zero in their element: navigating complex rhythms, brooding harmonies, and a chamber ensemble sensibility rendered with intensity and finesse. The album should serve as a vital document for longtime followers and as an incisive introduction for listeners new to their singular form of progressive music.
