CD version. Available on CD for the first time, this historically important British jazz release features previously unreleased live performances from the tail-end of the mighty Rendell-Carr Quintet’s career in 1969. It comes in a digipak, along with a booklet containing rare imagery and detailed background notes by Richard Morton Jack.
Jaipur, Mirage, Jubal and Black Hair were performed live for the BBC's Jazz Club on 26 March 1969; On!, Bath Sheba and Big City Strut were recorded on 20 June 1969 and broadcast on Jazz Workshop on 9 July. The set mixes Don Rendell's Mirage, Jubal, On! and Bath Sheba with Michael Garrick's Black Hair, Ian Carr's Big City Strut and Jaipur by Amancio D'Silva. Sessions produced by Roger Eames, mastered by Richard Whittaker at Starboard Music.
