Two contemporary compositions for percussion ensemble released on Cybelia's "Musique Française Du 20e Siècle" series in 1986.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

Gatefold sleeve.

Two French works for percussion ensemble, played by Nantes Percussion under its director Gérard Hiéronimus. Jacques Bondon takes jazz as a point of departure in Musique Pour Un Jazz Different, borrowing its pulse and some of its colours while keeping the writing firmly in the concert hall.

Alternances is by Pierre Dervaux, better known as a conductor, who led the Paris Opéra and several French orchestras. The quartet of players covers skins, metals and keyboard percussion, and the recording keeps the instruments clear and close. Issued by Cybelia in 1986 in its series of twentieth-century French music, in a laminated gatefold sleeve.
