Ptôse

"Ptôse Production Présente" is a deluxe, limited-edition box set released by Vinyl on Demand, dedicated to the influential French experimental group Ptôse. Founded in 1979 by the Jarlan brothers from Niort, Ptôse operated at the heart of France's underground cassette scene, creating minimalist electronic music that earned them comparisons to The Residents. Their most famous track, "Boule" ("Boule, Boule, viens ici mon chien"), became legendary enough to inspire an entire compilation of covers featuring Half Japanese, The Legendary Pink Dots, and Renaldo and the Loaf.

Between 1980 and 1984, Ptôse Production released about fifteen tapes that became collector items, contributing to international compilations like Three Minute Symphony (1984) and Voices Notes and Noise (Recommended, 1984).
