*300 copies limited edition* Margareth Kammerer is a singer and composer from South Tyrol, in northern Italy. Since she moved to Berlin in 1994, she has developed her own highly original composition and singing styles while working frequently with many leading improvisers. She released her debut album, "To Be an Animal of Real Flesh" (Charhizma), in 2004, and "Why Is the Sea So Blue" (Mikrotone) in 2013. In 2005, Kammerer formed The Magic I.D. together with Michael Thieke, Kai Fagaschinski and Christof Kurzmann. The group released "Till My Breath Goes Out" (Erstwhile) in 2008 and "I'm So Awake / Sleepless I Feel" (Staubgold) in 2011.
This album includes nine songs recorded and produced between 2007 and 2019, all composed and sung by Kammerer. While her co-performers differ from song to song, her unique musicality shines in every track.
