LP version. Weekend was recorded in April and May 1996 at Milchhof and Calyx Studio in Berlin, with Bernd Jestram at the desk, and released that year by kiff sm. It is the album on which Kreidler, then Andreas Reihse, Detlef Weinrich, Stefan Schneider and Thomas Klein, became a band: it pulled together the loose threads of their first recordings and set off a path the group is still on.
Bass, drums and keyboards, sparse and precise arrangements, a lot of material taken from live improvisation, and pieces like Traffic Way, La Capital, Polaroid, Reflections and La Fille En Beige. The record was well received in the German and international press, the band toured France and western Europe and played its first concerts in London, and Reflections became a minor hit, in rotation on MTV and Viva.
Bureau B reissues it for its thirtieth anniversary, with a 12-page booklet in the CD edition.
