Blasco / Vítková / Anette
On this album Lucie Vítková and Merche Blasco explore cyborgness through their relationships with their instruments. Lucie perceives the accordion as an extension of their body - sound, matter, and movement locked in a self-generating cybernetic loop. Merche built Anette, a 3D printer, as her interlocutor and companion in the performance space; in return, Anette printed thimble-microphones Merche wears on her fingers, which render the machine's unique electromagnetic voice audible to human ears.…
Medina Vibrations
"A couple of months before lockdown, the housing block where Tom White lived got covered in scaffolding. Residents were left in a building veiled by translucent white netting for months on end. This composition was made in this specific urban lockdown context: the fridge whirs, birds chirp on scaffold poles, electromagnetic activity & tape loops reverberate on the eardrums, within the home and out into the world. Composed of archive and site specific sounds, spring 2020. Medina Vibrations was o…
Pray For Your Prey
Recording live on a rainy night at Brussels in October 2017 “Pray For Your Prey” will capture your attention with it’s s striking power. An eclectic mixture of noise, experimental, free jazz and improvised music blended exemplary together creating a volcanic atmosphere.
Glass Band
"We have here three musicians with such a rich shared history that they might as well share the same blood. Each an accomplished solo artist in their own right, there’s a vibrant track record of collaborative work as well, with others and among themselves. The Gunn-Truscinski Duo has been a formal going concern for nearly a decade and a half, producing a fabulous string of albums for this label. Truscinski and Nace, along with Jake Meginksy, make up xo4, a group dating back to the early days of …
Music For Four Guitars
2023 repress.  "In a trajectory full of about-faces, Music for Four Guitars splices the formal innovations of Bill Orcutt's software-based music into the lobe-frying, blown-out Fender hyperdrive of his most frenetic workouts with Corsano or Hoyos. And while the guitar tone here is resolutely treble-kicked — or, as Orcutt puts it, "a bridge pickup rather than a neck pickup record" — it still wades the same melodic streams as his previous LPs (yet, as Heraclitus taught us, that stream is utterly d…
Jump On It
2023 repress; LP version. "It's been ten years since Bill Orcutt released A History of Every One (EMEGO 173CD, 2013), a compendium of hacksaw renditions of American standards on acoustic guitar -- and since ten years is a blink of an eye, you are forgiven for not immediately realizing that we've gone an entire decade waiting for Jump On It, the next Orcutt solo acoustic record. As those of us of 'a certain age' will tell you (ad nauseam), a decade is a blink of an eye containing an infinity of e…
Put The Music In It's Coffin
Throughout their legendary, decade-long run, The Shadow Ring were an enigmatic force on the international musical sub-underground. Before their disbandment in 2002, this shambolic rock outfit, formed by a group of rowdy teenagers in southeast England, left behind a mighty run of eight LPs, a handful of 7"s, and a spate of raucous live shows and cryptic zine appearances on both sides of the Atlantic, all which have bolstered their enduring word-of-mouth mystique. Beginning this year with the firs…

DnT
*2023 stock* The album ‘DnT’ shows a collaboration that shares pure rock energy and electroacoustic manipulation, amplified drums and distorted tape, feedback and re-injection, live processing and diversion. A large tape loop was also set up on two supplementary reel-to-reel tape recorders to create a random memory, delayed and unstable, acting like a distorting mirror. This recording is the result of two days’ work at Centre Culturel André Malraux de Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, France, in July 2018.

Vivi!
Whitney K and band are back with an electric live album that captures the best from their classics ‘Two Years’ and ‘Hard To Be A God’, including a few nuggets from the back catalog and the unreleased tune aptly titled ‘Dire Straits’. If ‘Two Years’ was the thunder, the rawness and the spirit, a combination of outsider folk, modern psych, grit, humor and everything in between, ‘Hard To Be A God’ was the sophistication, the dedication, the mind traveling far and beyond… ‘Vivi!’ is the hot sauce mi…
Multiple Park
Cheryl E. Leonard builds and plays electroacoustic instruments made out of natural materials such as bones, driftwood, shells, seaweed, feathers, and stones. Jon Leidecker (aka 'Wobbly') responds to the sounds of her creations with synthesized animal voices driven by machine listening. The inaugural collaboration of these two veterans of the San Francisco Bay Area electronic music scene can be heard on the album Multiple Park, a collection of works assembled from both studio and outdoor performa…
Broken Gargoyles
Tip! Employing a vast array of advanced vocal and instrumental techniques, Broken Gargoyles is arguably Diamanda Galás' most intellectually, sonically and viscerally formidable work to date. The album finds the visionary artist deftly probing the weaving, warping transformation on the nervous systems of her post-traumatic soldiers and dying diseased. The album's first part, "Mutilatus," contains the Georg Heym poems "Das Fieberspital" and "Die Dämonen der Stadt," and concerns the suffering of th…

*2023 stock* The band MoE (Guro Skumsnes Moe, Håvard Skaset and Joakim Heibø Johansen) and electronic noise aviator Lasse Marhaug are both prolific staples of the Norwegian music scene on their own, but have over the years also collaborated on various other projects. Most recent on the Skaset/Moe acoustic side project Sult, that resulted in the notable album «Harpoon» (rated as one of the best experimental albums in Rolling Stones in 2016), and Marhaug and Skumsnes Moe's work on the soundtrack t…
As Long as the Sun, As Long as the Moon
"For the ear hears sounds from various combinations in accordance with the character of the melody and the instrument.” ─ Abraham Abulafia Eight collective improvisations based on small musical ideas extracted from modern classical guitar works that make a beautiful suite of music; evocative, spiritual, hypnotic... The pieces found here are the consequence of a de-composing/re-composing process where each musician previously immerses into the music, transforming and combining the notes and rhyth…
