Oren Ambarchi, crys cole, Leif Elggren
Edition of 300. The only thing Australia, Canada and Sweden have in common is taking in an abstract position in a vague situation! In July 2016, a strong arctic wind blew open the windows that separate the mean streets of Stockholm from the city's legendary EMS Studios. Oren Ambarchi, Crys Cole and Leif Elggren were the only folks present in the studio at that point; not much could be done besides making the best out of a bad situation. Ambarchi burned the studio carpet to stay warm; Cole made a…

Das Baank
Rekem Records and Fragment Factory are proud to present a solo album from veteran Swedish artist Leif Elggren. Skirting both the area of pure sound, as well as that of symbolism, the record is a powerful statement on the limits of social and political absurdity and corruption in our present time. ‘Das Baank’ is notable for the absence of its creator’s voice, as the sound of Elggren’s characteristic spoken word is nowhere to be found. Instead the music traverses between carefully paced dram…

'Kostis Kilymis - electronics, objects. Leif Elggren - voice, text and dance. 'I now feel - when listening to the recording - like we opened a dark negative window in that respectful old event hall, for the 14 minutes we played.
