*2022 stock. 200 copies limited edition* We are really happy and proud to present the second album by Bas van Huizen for Moving Furniture Records. After Kluwekracht he now returns with Waanzintraan where he goes further with his explorations in the harmony of noise. In his own words Bas had to say the following: "Waanzintraan is the first collection of music I produced in China. It even features some processed field recordings I made in Shanghai and Xi'an. I mostly explored noise though. Not as …
eKPYrotic is an improvised music duo formed by Mirco Ballabene on double bass and electronics, and Massimiliano Furia on percussion. The electronics, created with MaxMsp, could be defined as the third element, because it guides the path of the musicians who, in turn, determine its breathing and dynamics in real time through a midi foot controller managed by Mirco. This organic, living electronics often becomes indistinguishable from the sounds generated by musicians, acoustic sounds which, throu…
Set in the year 3388 on the planet Eterna to craft a metaphysical chronicle exploring sci-fi themes in the surreal style of authors such Roland Topor, Frank Herbert, Moebius and Panos Cosmatos. Images of ‘void assemblies’, ‘meta-human faculties’, ‘synods’ and ‘masters of expression’ help visualize a stratified universe of power plays, arcane arts and cryptic technologies. Musically, the album is informed by the grandeur of weird-futuristic TV bumpers from the 90's and a long tradition of audio e…
* 2020 Stock. Edition of 200. * As with Luc Ferrari, it is an assemblage of recorded sequences in which we recognize a succession of various events and we reconstruct in our imaginary a possible narrative that may have been at the origin of these sounds. This is not the sound landscape (Soundscape or Field recording) whose neutrality of the author must be one of the characteristics. It is not reportage. Above all, it involves the assembly, by montage and superposition, of sounds of different ori…
* CD limited to 200 in A5 sleeve * Psychoanalysis refers to the frontier as an empty signifier: it embodies an interior and an exterior. The last album of the trilogy we set out to puts us there. On top of a vast set of remains whispering to us. Remains, because they have been left behind, because they are no longer useful. And yet, usefulness is something that tells little or nothing to us, artists. Quite the opposite. For this very reason, this new album is made up of these testimonies that wh…
**200 copies limited edition** "These songs were written between 2004 and 2005, when I had just discovered how I wanted to approach the phenomenon of 'song'. I had created songs with just voice for years, and now had found that the guitar could help tell me what mattered to me. I felt I could create a space by carefully experiencing and 'watching' voice, guitar, silence and overtones. I enjoyed this making of quiet songs, where I could voice things that would get lost in a crowd. I remember wond…
Leo Okagawa is a sound artist based in Tokyo, Japan. He makes multilayered collage works from elements of recorded sounds, analog machine’s noise, and simple electric tones. He has also been working on an improvised performance since 2017. GSL is pleased to announce the debut U.S. release from Italian quartet With Love, "A Great Circle." Since the late 90s, With Love has been a constantly evolving presence on the Italian DIY scene. The past few years have seen the group mutate from the all-out thrash/hardcore of their early EPs to a more experimental and abstract variety of sounds, informed by the likes of Liars, Men's Recovery Project, Black Dice, etc. Meanwhile, vocalist Nico Vascellari has pursued a rapidly accelerating career …

The track selection seems to have been designed as an ideal introduction to the former Soft Machine drummer's solo work, collecting key album recordings and even one or two bonafide hits (regardless of what the album title says). Wyatt's debut single, a cover of the Neil Diamond/Monkees song 'I'm A Believer' is included in its extended form (although, as ever it sounds jarringly out of place when set among his own compositions), as is the 1998 remaster of 'Shipbuilding', Wyatt's memorable 1982 r…
Highlighting Wyatt’s interests in township arrangements and ensemble playing, made explicit by calling a track "Team Spirit", Ruth Is Stranger Than Richard inverts the inward meditations of Rock Bottom outwards. The result is a set that startles with its rhythmic instinct and shape shifting composition. Drawing on both Wyatt’s breezy way with a time signature, and his ability to use his voice as a truly resonant instrument, the record contains not so much songs as abstract chamber pieces that ba…

*In process of stocking. 200 copies limited edition* "An odd release that doesn't seem to follow any sort of a recognizable theme or singular approach to noise, just three random tracks pasted together. In the first track there's not much interesting variation within it. The second track is a cool Music for Films evoking electronic drone that's also 56 seconds long. The main course here is the third track, which is a massive beast of thick fuzz that has a very strange, "rattly" effect to it, ach…
Combining free improvisation, free jazz, rock, and electronic improvisation, the trio of Eddie Prevost (drums), No Moore (guitarist), and bassist John Edwards are caught live at Iklectik in London, 2017, for a concert that changes pace from vigorous riffs to unconventional introspection, with masterful playing and profound technique, an exceptional performance.
* 2022 stock * "Archie Shepp's 1979 quartet of American and European musicians (Clifford Jarvis, drums; Seifried Kessler, piano; Bob Cunningham, bass) put more fire under him as an improviser than anybody since Coltrane. These cats came to play, and they were playing for keeps. It's all Shepp can do to lead the band. Opening with a furiously paced "Donna Lee," with Shepp's solo winding all around the intervals and changing them in mid-phrase, Jarvis double times even his legato. For 16 minutes t…
