Daydreaming
Debut album by Seattle's Rafael Anton Irisarri, released in 2007 on Deaf Center's Miasmah label. A splendid but pitch black album based on long piano melodies, distant drones and even more distant glitches, "Daydreaming" is a particularely sad and introvert CD, which takes the most emotional and melancholic side of the other Miasmah releases, but expresses them in a very direct and stripped down way. Splendid.
s3d (Ear & Eye)
s3d presents a world of fresh sounds from invented and unconventional instruments with names as curious and evocative as the sounds they produce: mothics, shimsaw, kyurukyuttsu, gloopdrum, corrugahorn, sprong, sundrum and many more. An international collaboration. Twelve experimental instrument builders/improvisors in an inspirational world-first.
Mon Possible
The new record by Dominique Petitgand, Mon possible, gathers sound and musical pieces created between 2001 et 2010. Still composed of voices, words, noises, musical atmospheres and silences, the stories here get more enigmatic than on the previous records (Le sens de la mesure, Le point de côté, Le bout de la langue, also released by Ici, d’ailleurs…). The music, interpreted and composed by Dominique Petitgand (recorded with the sometimes subliminal of some accomplices : Marc Sens, Dominique A, …
_, and Vice Versa

Wireless
1st live album by Norway's Geir Jenssen - recorded in 2007 by Chris Watson & mastered by Touch stalwart BJNilsen. In the early 1990s, he was a pioneer of so-called "ambient techno," but since then, he has refined his sound into something more magnetic & enduring. Here, he incorporates samples of field recordings by Jony Easterby & trumpet by Anders Karlskas, invoking a sparser, more arresting sound.

Fléchettes
“Jean Derome (flute, alto saxophone, etc.) and Lê Quan Ninh (percussion) are both leading figures in improvised music. They are also active in other musical genres such as jazz and contemporary music. They were invited by Tour de Bras make an entirely improvised concert that was a time of intense music. Such a sublime moment. Fléchettes documents this encounter, this dialogue while surprises and smiles apart, both fun and physical, both calm and truely energic.”

History Of The Units - The Early Years: 1977-1983
first ever legit reissue of THE UNITS. This genre-defying band, from San Francisco's barely-documented synth/punk/art underground of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, combined sarcastic humor with deadly serious cultural critique, and synthetic experimentation with the bombast of punk. Packaged in gatefold LP style sleeves with 32-page booklet…
Concentration of the Stare
Spend any amount of time in the company of Keith Rowe and the names of certain painters will arise in conversation with some frequency. Caravaggio, Twombly and, among others, most definitely, Mark Rothko. Just as, long ago, he'd imagined what the guitars in Braque's cubist painting might actually sound like, so, I think, he did with Rothko, often referring to the way the "tinged" the space in which they were hung. For some time, in the early oughts, Rowe tried to place his music in a similar are…

Streifenjunko is/has also collaborat…

In the world of punk and experimental music of these years, he began to occupy himself with electro-acoustic music, machine music and automata. He builds sound machines from analogue modular synthesizer systems that are voltage- controlled and steer themselves. His formative principle of organization is variation by …
Global K.O.
Sprung aus den Wolken have teamed up with Berlin based electro duo Film 2 to record a new album. The result is a mix of Renault Schubert's cool electro pop tunes and Kiddy Citny's and Betty la Gachette's vocals sung in French, English and German. A more than welcome return after a far too long pause for theose German pioneers. "The ten tracks of the CD span from funky electro industrialism to ambient cinematic experimentations (like "Push here" or "Nous irons aux bois") passing though electro 80…
Quintet
Things get dislocated, gather themselves, spread across areas of varying intensities. More intimate or more complex song. closer to the sacred, left untouched by mediation, even slightly incomprehensible, though mostlyambivalent and reality-piercing. At times, the music seems to lead us to a meaning that is deeper than the textual level. or is it the depth of another possible song? That's when the music takes us to areas that seem perpetually urging, more than their simple addition of voi…
