The 1978 debut album by the Belgian band Isopoda from Aalst: melodic symphonic progressive rock with twelve-string guitar, flute, piano and organ, recorded at Just Born Studio in Hekelgem and first issued on Twinkle.

Isopoda was formed in Aalst, Belgium, in 1974 by Arnold De Schepper and Walter De Berlangeer. Acrostichon, its first album, was recorded between March and August 1978 at Just Born Studio in Hekelgem and released the same year on the Twinkle label, produced by the band. Dirk De Schepper sang lead, Arnold De Schepper played bass, bass pedals, twelve-string guitar and flute, De Berlangeer the electric and acoustic guitars, Geert Amant piano, Rhodes, organ and string synthesizer, and Marc Van der Schueren drums.

The sound belongs to the melodic wing of late 1970s symphonic prog, with long pieces such as the title track and Don't Do It The Easy Way built on layered keyboards, twelve-string arpeggios and English vocals. Reviewers often point to Genesis around Wind & Wuthering and to Camel as reference points. The band made one more album, Taking Root, in 1981.

Japanese CD reissue by Belle Antique in a paper-sleeve mini LP replica with obi and Japanese lyric sheet, insert reproduction, SHM-CD, remastered.
