*Limited Edition* The title's a bit unusual but that's somewhat fitting, given that pianist Shoji Aketagawa was the driving creative force behind the always-unusual Aketa's disc label! There's nothing too erotic about the material, which also certainly isn't grotesque and instead, Shoji rings out beautifully with these strong notes on a number of solo tracks, before leaping into some work with the trio on the last tune but all with a quality that's really unlike anyone else we can think of! The piano has the richness of a grand piano, but the stiffness of an upright maybe that's Shoji's playing, or just the instrument used for the date and there's this instantly distinct feel to the record that grabs us the same way as Jaki Byard in a similar mode even though Aketagawa isn't anything like Byard at all. Titles are in Japanese and the set features seven tracks in all.
