On Einsjäger & Siebenjäger (1974) the guitarist Daniel Fichelscher, on loan from Amon Düül II, becomes Popol Vuh's driving engine, his layered electric playing lifting Florian Fricke's piano figures into something ecstatic and circling.
Two long pieces, building without pause, with Djong Yun's wordless voice returning to crown them. It is among the warmest records the group made, devotional music that keeps a pulse. The Italian PDU edition.
