Bending Backwards

In the summer of 2024 I was browsing through some unmarked tapes in my studio, Where I found a cassette with a mysterious recording which I couldn’t figure out who had made. In the following month I played it for a dozen different people to see if they had any knowledge about this magical treasure but no one knew anything about it. However after a lot of searching I figured out that the tape included recordings of my great friend Johannes’s new rock group Bending Backwards, we shared studio space so he had accidentally left the tape there. In August 2024 this group played their first local concert in the legendary basement of Underverket in downtown Valby. This concert was even better than I could anticipate and after the show I knew I had to make a Bending Backwards cassette. These recordings were captured on tape by the band and me and shows the band in its foundational stages spitting out some of the best songs I’ve heard in a while. Even though this is a demo tape it feels more coherent than most real albums to me and I’m really happy about it.
