Original and sole edition of the 1982 album privately released on World Artists featuring Milo Fine. Never re-issued on either LP or CD.

condition (record/cover): NM / VG+ (light ring wear on back)

Recorded at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, which tells you a good deal about where Walter Zuber Armstrong found his audience: art institutions rather than jazz clubs, listeners prepared to sit still for music that made no attempt to swing. The live setting gives this more space and more risk than the studio recordings, with long developing improvisations on reeds and flutes and passages where very little happens for extended periods. Self-released, as everything of his was. The Midwest produced a considerable amount of this kind of work and almost none of it was documented.

Original private pressing on World Artists. Museum-context free music from a figure the histories skipped entirely.
