Original edition on Eastworld's "Aurex Jazz Festival" series of the 1980 live album. With insert and obi.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

Insert and obi included.

The Aurex festivals worked on generational packaging, and this one reaches furthest back. Teddy Wilson, Illinois Jacquet, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Milt Hinton and the singer Helen Humes represent the swing and jump lineage; Dizzy Gillespie stands for bop; Freddie Hubbard, Randy Brecker, Eddie Gomez and Peter Erskine for whatever came after. Watching those three worlds negotiate a stage is the entire interest of the record, and the Japanese engineering means you can hear every negotiation clearly.

Japanese Eastworld pressing. Late-career documentation of players who were running out of time to be documented.
