Tip! Born in 1992, Guido Gamboa is an American artist that works in the sound and visual mediums. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he studied sound art and art history. His sound practice is informed primarily by the histories and ideas of musique concrete, sound poetry, computer music, electroacoustic music and contemporary composition. These works often involve the use of field recordings, magnetic tape, non-standard tunings, indeterminate processes and generative algorithms.
