Released a mere three months after the last record of Dome, Or So It Seems is the only album by this collaboration of Bruce Gilbert and Graham Lewis with Daniel Miller, the man responsible for the seminal T.V.O.D. / Warm Leatherette single in 1978 as the Normal, and founder of Mute Records (Duet Emmo is an anagram of Dome and Mute). As expected, Duet Emmo are more electronic than Dome but retain their industrial bleakness, tempered by deviant synthpop instincts.
