Superb album of excellent electro-acoustic compositions by the founder of the Siemens Studio für elektronische Musik, realized between 1959 and 1970 released on Wergo's great "Studio Reihe Neuer Musik" experimental music series in 1972.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM | Eponymous 1972 Wergo release by German experimental composer Josef Anton Riedl, featuring key works from his career in electronic and concrete music. Polygonum (1968): An improvisational piece for two to four performers who select their own sound mediums based on rhythmic and dynamic structures. Nr. 3 (1966–67): Part of his numbered series of abstract sound compositions. Paper Music (1968/70): A piece utilizing the physical properties of paper as a sound source. Nr. 4/I (1968–69): A continuation of his structural explorations. Studien Für Elektronische Klänge II, I, IV (1959–62): These early "Studies for Electronic Sounds" were created during his tenure at the Siemens Studio for Electronic Music in Munich. Vielleicht-Duo (1963/70): A versatile work for speaking, breathing, and various sound objects like water and whistles.  Riedl was a pioneer in visible music, where the physical gestures of the performers and graphic scores are as vital as the audio output.
