Gisteri was Rino De Filippi, a guitarist from the Alessandroni circle who recorded under several names for the Roman library labels and whose Elettronica e tecnica spaziale is among the most wanted of all Italian library LPs. Voci di chitarra is his guitar record: solo and multitracked guitar cues, from lyrical to abstract, with the occasional effects pedal used as a compositional device rather than as colour.
Metropole was one of the smaller Roman publishers and its output rarely surfaces. For anyone who has admired De Filippi's playing on other people's records, this is where he speaks in his own voice. Original pressing.
