Toshi Ichiyanagi, back in Japan after his New York years around Cage, Fluxus and Yoko Ono, wrote these duos in the early 1980s, when his music had moved toward a freer, often lyrical writing. The pianist Kaori Kimura is the constant partner: with Hiroyuki Iwaki on marimba in Paganini Personal, with Mari Kimura in Flowers Blooming in Summer.

On side B she joins Ichiyanagi himself at the second piano in Two Existence, and the violinist Kishiko Suzumi in Scenes II. Issued by Camerata in 1984 as Recent Duo Works, with a sheet of notes in Japanese.
