Two avant-garde/dodecaphonic compositions from the 1960's respectively for tenor, choir, 11 instrumentalists and organ and for two pianos and orchestra, released on Wergo's great "Studio Reihe Neuer Musik" experimental music series in the 1970's. With insert.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

Insert included.

Wolfgang Fortner, the Heidelberg teacher of Hans Werner Henze, adopted twelve-tone writing after the war and used it in large sacred and orchestral works. Die Pfingstgeschichte nach Lukas sets the Pentecost story for tenor, six-part choir, eleven instruments and organ, with Hans-Ulrich Mielsch, organist Michael Schneider and the Kölner Rundfunkchor and Kölner Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester conducted by the composer.

Triplum is for three pianos and orchestra, played by the brothers Alfons, Aloys and Bernhard Kontarsky with the same orchestra under Christoph von Dohnányi. Both works date from the 1960s. This is a later Wergo repress, from after 1976, with the insert.
