Roman Vlad was a Romanian-born composer who settled in Italy, ran the Maggio Musicale and La Scala as artistic director, wrote the standard Italian history of twelve-tone music and scored dozens of films, Castellani's Giulietta e Romeo among them. This LP for the Pro Civitate Christiana of Assisi (see Part VI) is a sacred cantata, "And God Remembered Man," for voices and orchestra, in the chromatic, Dallapiccola-adjacent idiom that was his own.

A serious modernist composer writing for a Catholic cultural association is exactly the kind of collision Assisi produced. PCC pressing, scarce.
