A record marking the first ten years of IPEM, the Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music founded in Ghent in 1963 with the Belgian radio. Side A is given to Karel Goeyvaerts, whose Sonata for two pianos of 1951 had pointed Stockhausen toward total serialism: Op acht paarden wedden, nearly half an hour long, built in the institute's studio.
On side B, Lucien Goethals offers two of his electronic studies, Studie I and Studie VII B, and the longer Meliorbis. Gatefold sleeve with a cover drawing by René de Lannoy and notes by Herman Sabbe.
